Leagues & Fixtures

The Club plays in the following leagues.  We operate a rotational selection policy, except for NYBL, to ensure that all members have an opportunity to play competitively if they wish.  In the NYBL a strong team is fielded.

The NYBL (North Yorkshire Bowls League) is affiliated to Bowls England.  It is a men's league with 4 rinks each of 3 players with 3 woods.  Matches are played on a Monday and Thursday evening.

Teesside Ladies is, as the name suggests, a league for ladies.  Matches are played on a Thursday afternoon.  It's a triples format with 3 rinks of 3 players.

The Cleveland League provides two mixed leagues.  A 2 rink, 3 player triples league plays on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon.  Tuesday and Friday evenings offer a 4 rink, 3 wood format for 12 players.  The club uses both leagues for the development of new and inexperienced players.  The club has two teams in the afternoon triples league

The Mid-Week Triples is a mixed league and also plays on a Wednesday afternoon.  The format is 3 rinks of 3 players.

The Middlesbrough League plays on a Wednesday evening.  It is a mixed triples format with 3 rinks each of 3 players.  The club has two teams in this league

Teesside Veterans is a mixed league for the over 55s and plays on a Friday afternoon.  The format is 1 rink of 4 players each with 2 woods.  The club has 4 teams in this league.
